Our Excursion

Today we went on our excursion to Old Beenleigh Town.  This was a great place to visit and the children could really experience the olden days.  We saw so many interesting things.  The place is set up like a little village and you go into the buildings and look around.  We split into three groups and had a short, informative talk at the old school house, the home (this is where we learnt all about washing and even had a go), the sawmill and a fire engine that the children climbed on, sat on and worked the siren.  I have loads of photos to share on the blog but am too exhausted to do tonight!  We had a selection of wonderful parents to help us during the day.  Thank you for sharing the day with us.  The classes all enjoyed the day, learnt loads and had fun.  Everyone should be ready for bed early tonight!

School photos are tomorrow, Wednesday.  Please come looking your best in your school day uniform.

If you have replied to your parent interview request, a note was sent back today informing you of your time.  Most parents were placed in their first choice.  If you have not responded yet, I will do my best to fit you in as close to your choice as possible.

  1. Dear children and Mrs Taylor, thank you so much for posting the photos! I've had a quick look and it seems like a great place to visit! Luka, let's have a look together and you can explain to me what you did!
I would like to go there myself now to see how people lived in olden days!
    Kind regards,
    Veronika
